While you are using the planner

Your answers are kept in your browser session so you can move between steps without losing your progress.

If you create an account

Your plan is saved to your account so you can return later, continue from the step you left, and update your figures. This can include your email address, planning dates, income, spending, savings and other answers you enter.

Partner invites

If you invite a partner to complete their side of the plan, their email address is used to secure the private invite and link their contribution back to your household plan. Their email is not automatically added to marketing.

Your partner enters their income and personal outgoings inside their private invite. Those raw figures are used in their browser to work out what is available for the household pot. Their salary and itemised personal outgoings are not copied into the shared plan; only the derived household contribution and any temporary change to that contribution during planned time off are linked back.

Your partner can separately choose whether they want to receive Bump & Balance marketing emails when they complete their part.

Marketing choices

Creating an account or accepting a partner invite does not automatically subscribe anyone to marketing. Marketing emails are optional and controlled separately. Personalised marketing based on planning dates is also a separate optional choice.

Commercial partners

We do not sell identifiable household financial information. Partners and sponsored content will not influence your calculator assumptions, savings target or results.

Your saved plan

You can revisit and edit your saved plan from your account. You can also remove the saved plan if you no longer want it stored.

Downloads

PDFs and spreadsheets you download are saved to your own device.
